Synoptic Situation: A vigorous southerly change associated with a deepening low pressure system over the Tasman Sea will affect the southern half of the coast today, reaching Sydney in the late evening. A high south of the Bight is forecast to extend a ridge along the coast in the wake of the southerly change, and looks set to remain the dominant feature in the region through much of the coming week.
