Synoptic Situation: A west to northwesterly airstream is expected ahead of another cold front moving over the State on Saturday morning, which will be followed by a pool of cold air. A vigorous west to southwesterly airstream will continue following the front, before easing slightly from the west during Sunday. A milder northwesterly airstream is then expected to develop early next week ahead of another cold front later on Tuesday.
Wind and wave forecasts are averages. Wind gusts can be 40 per cent stronger than the forecast, and stronger still in squalls and thunderstorms. Maximum waves can be twice the forecast height.
